Serverless backup

What is serverless backup?
Serverless backup is a backup process that saves data and files without using the computing resources of the backup server.

It allows data to be backed up while eliminating network bandwidth degradation and server response time. Serverless backup is also known as serverless backup.
Serverless backup is primarily an extension of the LAN-free backup process. Typically, serverless backup on a storage area network (SAN) is implemented by implementing a data mover appliance, usually a separate device (although it can also be built into the storage device) to manage the backup operations instead of the backup server itself .

Anstelle von LAN ist der Backup server direkt mit den Backup-Geräten / Speichern über Fibre Channel (FC) oder Small Computer System Interface (SCSI-Schnittstelle) verbunden. Eine weitere Methode der serverlosen Sicherung besteht in der Implementation der Datenträgerabbilderstellung, die intelligente Agenten verwendet, die auf die Sicherungsdatensätze verweisen und diese dann sichern, ohne dass dazwischen ein Server beteiligt ist.
