What is Zend Framework
The Zend Framework (ZF) is an open source framework for creating object-oriented web applications with PHP 5.The aim of the framework is to simplify the development of web applications with object-oriented processes, which enable the creation of extensible classes and objects and to ensure best Promote practices for building Web 2.0 web services and applications.
The Zend Framework is also thought of as a component library because it contains loosely coupled components that developers can use more or less independently. It also provides a Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework that can be used as the basis for an application structure for applications built with it. As an object-oriented framework, it provides reusable and extensible code that can be shared by different applications. This allows them to be easily scaled to the company level.
ZF is licensed under the new BSD license approved by the Open Source Initiative. It was released on March 3, 2006 by Zend Technologies.
