What is yoyo mode?
Yoyo mode refers to a situation where a computer or similar device gets stuck in a loop - turned on briefly and then turned off again. The idea is that the quick restart and shutdown patterns can be compared to the down and up cycles of a yo-yo.
A 'yo-yo mode' situation can arise for a number of reasons including battery problems, boot sequence issues, or other issues. This type of activity can be difficult on the physical computer parts, including the fans, circuitry, and power systems. IT pros need to analyze the physical device to determine why this type of erratic loop is occurring.
