Tax system of Poland

The Republic of Poland has been a member of the EU since 1.5.2004. The tax system has been adapted in accordance with the requirements of the EU. Corporations are subject to corporate income tax that follows the classic system. The profit that is determined through accounting is taxable.

The tax rate is 19%. Individuals are subject to income tax. The tax rate is progressive and ranges from 19 % to around 40 %. the value added tax follows the EU directives. The standard rate is 22 %, the reduced rates 3 % and 7 %. A wealth tax is not levied.

There are inheritance and Property tax as well as a number of excise taxes. Poland has concluded double taxation agreements with around 60 countries, which are largely the OECD-MA conform.
