Cyprus has been a member of the EU since 1.5.2004. In the course of accession, the tax system was adapted to EU requirements. Corporations are subject to corporation tax. This follows the classic system. At the corporation level, the tax rate is 10 %. At the level of natural persons, another 15 % are incurred, the dividends are exempt from income tax.
Of course individuals are otherwise subject to income tax. The tax rate is between 20 % and 30 %. There is neither wealth nor Inheritance tax. One Property tax is charged. the value added tax follows the EU system. The standard rate is 15 %, the reduced rate is 5 %. There are around 40 DTAs, which largely follow the OECD-MA.
