Stupid tax

According to Tipke, Lang and Rose, the “stupid tax” describes that part of a tax burden that would have been reduced if the tax structure had been optimally and legally compliant. It is based on ambiguous laws, lack of information, ignorance as well as on operational or strategic wrong decisions. According to Kirchhof, the laws are based on well-advised taxpayers.
