Stock broker

What is a Stock Broker?
A stockbroker is broadly an agent who facilitates trading between a buyer and a seller and who receives a commission for his services. Traders buy and sell for their own account and keep their own holdings of securities from which they can profit or suffer losses. Most stock brokers actually act as brokers and traders. Brokers are also classified as full service or discount, with the former using a commission-based sales organization and the latter only employees.
