Inventory variables are economic variables that are measured at a specific point in time, such as the amount of money or unemployment. Stock sizes are measured in money or physical units and determined based on time (e.g. cash on hand, warehouse). They can be compiled at the individual or macroeconomic level, this is called an inventory calculation. If the values of a stock quantity change, this is recorded in a stock change calculation.
