Snoopware

What is snoopware?
Snoopware is a term used for certain types of malware that monitor activity on smart devices. Snoopware can silently collect data via speech or messages, or manipulate controls, or perform other types of behind-the-scenes work that could, for example, damage systems or change user preferences.
Der Begriff Snoopware wird oft auf Systeme angewendet, die speziell auf Smartphones abzielen. In den Tagen vor Smartphones wurde das Wort Spyware oft verwendet, um über Malware zu sprechen, die diese Art der Überwachung von Laptop- oder Desktop-Umgebungen ermöglichte.

For example, modern snoopware can monitor phone calls or text messages on a smartphone, or turn the camera or microphone on or off, or otherwise manipulate the user's smartphone.
