Population development defines how the populations in different countries of the world change and why this happens. The population of a country increases when children are born or when people immigrate from other regions.
It is reduced by death and emigration. In Germany, as in other highly developed countries, the population would shrink without immigration. But the number of people is growing enormously worldwide. There is a real population explosion, especially in developing countries.
The reactions in the affected countries are very different. In East Asia and South America, for example, population growth is slowing, while more and more children are being born in Africa and India. In future, not only will the world population development as a whole be shown, but above all the differences between the individual countries in this regard.
