Motivation research examines the reasons for human experience and behavior. It deals with the characteristics of motivation. The main motivational theories are:
Motivation research has found, among other things, that the motivation of employees to perform at work depends on:
- The fulfillment of the employee's own goals and values as motives, needs, expectations, will and
- The opening of actual opportunities or incentives for employees to meet their own goals and needs (motivation).
- Ultimately, motivation is about creating an optimal achievement of goals between the employee and the company. In practice, this approach is associated with difficulties because disturbances can negatively influence the motivation process.
