Mimetic marketing or new marketing represents a form of holistic corporate management. In analogy to the biological approach of mimesis, only those companies can survive that succeed in being absorbed in their environment. The basic idea is to permanently connect the company with consumers, their needs, ideas and worlds of experience through close proximity to the market and consumers, in order to initiate adaptation processes at an early stage and thus use potential for success. This goal is realized through a permanent exchange relationship between the employees and the relevant partners of the company. The company's customer orientation, which is lived in the company and applied to the environment, forms a closed, dynamic system that is open to change.
