Who is Grace Hopper?
Grace Hopper war eine bahnbrechende Informatikerin, die das Gebiet der Computerprogrammierung mitgestaltete. Grace Hopper first came across computers during World War II (WWII) while working with the Navy. Amazingly, Hopper stayed with the Navy throughout her career, consulting in the private sector on programming and computing issues. Hopper received many awards, including the 1969 Computer Science Man-of-the-Year Award. Hopper was one of the first to recognize the commercial potential of computer programs, and she saw easy-to-use programming languages as an important bridge to that goal.
