Google Glass is a controversial type of technology that is dramatically changing the way lifestyle and technology interact. Some critics argue that Google Glass can extremely negatively affect some aspects of human life.

The tongue-in-cheek term also refers to the tech elites who were previously given access to the technology. In this way, being part of the Glasserati can be seen as one of the lucky few or as a geek part of Google's big experiment.
