Fluctuation unemployment

Fluctuation unemployment is also known as frictional unemployment. Fluctuation unemployment is caused by changing jobs and thus occurs between the end of the old job and the start of the new job.

This type of unemployment lasts only for a short time and is mostly voluntary (for example when an employee rejects a job offer in anticipation of a better offer later). This type of unemployment is inevitable even with full employment and is therefore not considered a problem.
