A vehicle fleet information system provides an overview of the use of your own vehicle fleet and the costs caused by it. If a company has a large fleet of vehicles, it is advisable to use a fleet information system to manage it. If possible, this should contain the following information per day and month for each vehicle:
- Number of customers supplied
- Quantities transported
- Kilometers driven
- Operating times
- Transport costs incurred (possibly divided according to cost types)
- Temporal and weight utilization of the vehicles
The data obtained from a fleet information system can be used in other information systems, e.g. B. Contribution margin calculation with customer-specific transport costs.
