Financial innovations

In Germany, financial innovations have been transaction and investment opportunities that have existed since the mid-1980s and were made possible by the deregulation of the capital markets. Examples are floating rate bonds, securitized bank loans and standardized forms of hedging against price and interest rate risks (hedging with options and Futures). From a tax point of view, income from capital assets, other income and private capital gains can arise.
