Compensation transactions

Also known as counter trade, compensation transactions are a special form of payment for foreign deliveries. The most common form is a pure barter transaction (barter transaction). Among other things, there are also transactions in which the exporter undertakes to purchase a certain amount of a product from the importer. Reasons for offsetting transactions are foreign exchange shortages and insufficient competitiveness of various countries.
