What is Cloud storage-API?
A cloud storage API is a special type of API set that makes it easy to access, add, edit, and remove data on a remote cloud storage server. It enables web applications and services to programmatically access cloud storage from a cloud storage service provider.
Web applications request services and operations from a remote cloud storage server through an integrated cloud storage API. Typically, these APIs are designed over REST and SOAP architectures that enable the retrieval of data that is stored over distributed database systems such as cloud and web storage mechanisms.
With the Google Cloud Storage API, developers can, for example, program and manage data via their REST-oriented interface in Google Cloud Storage. Cloud storage APIs also enable remote data management services, initiation / termination of sessions, and other storage management functions.
