What is cloud security control?
Cloud security control is a set of controls that the cloud architecture uses to protect against any security vulnerability and to mitigate or reduce the impact of malicious attacks. It is a broad term made up of all of the measures, practices, and guidelines that must be implemented to protect a cloud computing environment.

Deterrent Controls: Does not protect the cloud architecture / infrastructure / environment, but serves as a warning for a potential perpetrator of an attack.

Preventive controls: Manage, reinforce, and protect the vulnerabilities in a cloud.

Corrective Actions: Help reduce the aftermath of an attack.

Detective Controls: Used to identify or detect an attack.
