Cloud database

What is cloud database?
A cloud database is a type of database service that is created, hosted, and provided via a cloud platform. It is primarily a Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) deployment model that enables organizations, end users, and their applications to store, manage, and access data from the cloud.

A cloud database typically functions as a standard database solution, which is generally implemented by installing database software on a computing / infrastructure cloud. It can be accessed directly through a web browser or a manufacturer-provided API for application and service integration. In contrast to a typical database, a cloud database can be scaled at runtime, in which additional instances and resources of storage and computer can be allocated immediately.

In addition, a cloud database is also provided as a service, with the provider directly managing the backend processes of database installation, provision and resource allocation.
