CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview)

CATI stands for Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (translated: computer-aided telephone survey). Telephone numbers are randomly selected from a digital telephone directory, dialed and sent directly to the interviewer station. The interviewer records the answers on a data entry mask so that they are automatically available for evaluation. It is thus possible to display interim results.

Advantages: fast and relatively inexpensive implementation of the survey (survey types).
