What is anonoblog?
An anonoblog is a public blog written and maintained by an anonymous author or an author using a pseudonym. Anonoblog is a slang term that combines the words 'anonymous' and 'blog'. An anoblog may contain general or even specific information about its authors, but it does not contain the true identity or name of the author.
Anonymous blogs can provide the user with free and uninhibited expression on virtually any topic without the fear of social impact or judgment. Social media marketing companies also use anonoblogs so they can direct consumers to websites that sell products online.
The potential downside to anonoblogs is that anyone with an opinion can use this technology as long as they know how to blog or comment. Some find certain anoblogs repulsive, outrageous, ridiculous or offensive, but laws that protect freedom of expression in many countries allow the use of anoblogs.
Anonoblogging is considered a Web 2.0 application because it facilitates information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web.
