Deadline trend analysis

While the reporting times of the project are plotted on the horizontal axis in the figure, the planning times are given on the vertical axis. A rising curve expresses a deterioration in deadlines, a horizontal curve a constant development of deadlines and a falling curve an improvement in deadlines. For subproject 1, for example, it can be seen that 01/01/2001 (first reporting date) was planned as the end date of October 1, 2001.

At the following reporting date, 02/01/2001, however, it became apparent that the planned date could not be met. As a consequence, 11/01/2001 was set as the new planned date, which in turn is reflected in the rising course of the curve over this period. Overall, the figure shows that an improvement in the deadline can be expected for subproject 1 over the entire reporting period. Sub-project 2 shows an almost constant trend, whereas sub-project 3 shows a deterioration in deadlines.
