Die Schedulensteuer oder analytische Steuer sieht im Gegensatz zur synthetischen Steuer eine Sonderbehandlung einzelner Einkünfte und Sondertarife vor (vgl. z. B. auch Dual Income Tax in der Reformdiskussion). Die geltenden Steuersysteme sind zumeist Mischsysteme; in Deutschland spielte bislang die synthetische Steuer prinzipiell eine dominante Rolle.
