Types of leadership models
Path-goal model
Evans I House's path-to-goal model, which identifies the goals and ways to achieve effective leadership behavior. The manager should e.g. B. reward depending on the achievement of goals.
Contingency model
Fiedler's contingency model, which connects certain leadership styles with situation components: power of the leader, structuring of the task, leader-employee relationship. Depending on the situation, the leadership should be person-oriented or task-oriented.
Harzburg model

Motivational model
Neuberger's motivation model, which compares the manager and those who are led. According to this, the effects of leadership are always concretized in the behavior of the person being led. This knowledge is of pioneering importance for leadership research.
Order model
Reber's order model, which brings leadership characteristics, leadership style, reaction of those being led, leadership efficiency and the environment in context. Criteria of efficiency are the goals of the organization and the leader as well as the expectations of the group.
St. Gallen management model
Ulrich's St. Gallen management model, which is an information decision-making system with cybernetic elements that is networked through control loops. Features are the corporate mission statement, the corporate concept and the concept implementation.
