Expense taxes cover a use of income and assets that goes beyond the satisfaction of general living needs, i.e. they are based on economic efficiency. You can pay indirect taxes (e.g. amusement tax) as well as direct taxes (e.g. Dog tax), Traffic taxes (e.g. value added tax, Real estate transfer tax, Insurance tax) or excise taxes (e.g. mineral oil tax, tobacco tax) (transport and consumption taxes).
